Byron Allen isn’t particularly a household name, but he is one of the most successful (and few) African American network executives. He is also known for being outspoken. Recently, he filed a discrimination lawsuit against Comcast and Al Sharpton – yes, that Al Sharpton – over the lack of minority owned studios. In a nutshell? Comcast lies and Sharpton swears by it after the check clears.
He isn’t the first to attack the President this way over using the word “thug.” NBC News went out of their way to point out the President is (we’re paraphrasing) ‘half white who identifies as an African American’ because he wouldn’t apologize for using the word in the first place. – Yes, NBC News. Obama’s pet peacock. The network that employs Sharpton –
What’s unfortunate here is that Allen’s choice of words will bury a point that he made, “Check the numbers. Black people have fallen even further behind under President Obama.” Had that been the lede, he could have pointed out how that’s because of decades of leftists policies to which the President subscribes. Baltimore is a perfect example of this. Even more, Detroit.
See Allen is jogging along the logic trail, but then get’s lured off the path by a trail of race-baiting breadcrumbs. Missed it by thaaaaaat much.
Either way, grab the popcorn and bring on the outrage!
