Well, here's some moderately good news for you, in a week which may have had you begging for a catastrophic meteor to hit Earth. It could have been one scandal too many for Hillary (see CLASSY: Bill Clinton Calls Trump Supporters ‘Rednecks’ and Hillary Clinton Has Pneumonia Now? She’s Her Own Conspiracy…). Why? Well at least in Pennsylvania, a whole heck of a lot of voters switched from Democrat to Republican.

Close to 100,000 of them...

The state Republican party says that the surge in Republican registrations is nearly twice the number of newly registered Republicans compared to both the 2008 and 2012 numbers combined.

The party says the new numbers come from the Pennsylvania Department of State which shows that 97,607 Democrats have actually switched to Republican.

Numbers also show that 38,020 Republicans actually switched to Democrats.

TRIGGER WARNING: We don't do the "unskewed" thing here. If you find numbers problematic, get thee ninnypants to a safe space. At least as of today, the Real Clear Politics average for Pennsylvania has Hillary up by close to nine points. So far, the added enrollment cited here hasn't be reflective in public polling. Remember, we're not cheerleaders. Facts are facts, polls are polls. Stomping your feet about them being unfair or "rigged" won't make a lick of difference. But thanks for trying.

Still, a huge party switch is good news, yeah? Let's take it where we can.

No, the huge voter shift doesn't mean Trump will win and "Make America Great Again," anymore than it means Frau Hillary is going to pack a U-Haul full of pantsuits and pull up to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue this coming January. But the thought of that last one gave me the chills.

Something is definitely going on with numbers here. Could the Silent Majority be ready to ride again? Will there be a tidal wave of Republican voters who will sweep Cackling Cankles off her broomstick?

My prediction is this whole election will be a horserace. Frankly I'm not sure which way the wind is blowing from day-to-day. All I know is I've used one too many cliches in four sentences, and I'm a little sick to my stomach about it. Or it's the lingering nausea thinking of Hillary in the Oval. Flip a coin.
