If migrants were “generally law-abiding citizens,” besides the fact that they have already broken federal immigration laws, then Democrats should have no problem approving a bill that would allow for their deportation if they attack police officers. But as you know who would say, “They're not sending their best,” and some migrants have already attacked police officers.

On Wednesday 148 Democrats voted against a bill to deport migrants who assault police.

A bill aimed at booting illegal immigrants out of the U.S. if they assault a police officer passed the House of Representatives on Wednesday evening.

It's one of several pieces of legislation that House Republican leaders are putting up for a vote this week as part of National Police Week.

The bill passed with a 265 to 148 vote, with 54 Democrats voting with the GOP.

Wow. Surprisingly, 54 Dems voted to approve the bill. However, 148 voted down party lines because that was more important to them than protecting the American people. How much more can these people distance themselves away from those they represent? Why are they even in Congress if they hate us so much?

Maybe they are in Congress because they hate us that much.

The bill is called the Detain and Deport Illegal Aliens Who Assault Cops Act and is led by Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J.

He said in February when the bill was being introduced, "There is no reason that an illegal alien who attacks our law enforcement should remain in our country; that shows zero respect for our rule of law or our institutions, and they will not be positive contributors to society."

I would generally agree with that quote but I would take it a step further and say that they proved they have "zero respect for our rule of law or our institutions” the moment they bypassed federal immigration laws, but I digress.

The bill would require illegal immigrants to be detained by federal authorities until they can be deported. It would also "create a new category for migrant inadmissibility" specifically dealing with illegal immigrants who were accused of assaulting police, Van Drew said.

Why does it seem like many Democrats are trying to buy votes from people who can’t vote? I know felons love to vote Democrat but again, these people are not supposed to be voting so nothing even makes sense.

Not only has New York City set the precedent that migrants won't be held accountable for attacking officers, but now we see that on a more national/federal level.

Preventing migrants from being deported will not do much of anything to help the American people. But clearly, Democrats don't care about that. They care about foreign nationals who break federal immigration laws and beat up cops. And they can't even be bothered to pretend that isn't the case.
