It's the same old story. Guy tells Bernie Sanders he's concerned about Donald Trump's rhetoric regarding people who "look like him." Bernie Sanders, in a rush to pander, ASSumes the questioner is a Muslim... because Muslims "look like him."

QUESTIONER: “The violence against religious and ethnic minorities around the country, especially in Trump rallies, is very disturbing and to be honest very scary, especially for someone who looks like me. My question to you is, if president, what is going to be your approach in uniting the country, and in particular how do you address those people who relish in Trump’s divisive rhetoric?”

BERNIE: “Thank you very much for your important question. And it really is sad that you have to ask that question. That should not be happening in America. I’m Jewish. You’re Muslim,” Sanders went on to say.

But the questioner awkwardly shook his head. “You’re–” Sanders began again.

“Hindu."

“You’re Hindu. There you go, all right..."

I'm impressed Bernie thought he could identify this man's religion just by looking at him. That's mad skillz. Wonder if he'd put that on his resume all those years ago, he might have earned a paycheck before 40 (read LOSER: It Took Bernie Sanders 40 Years to Earn a Paycheck). Of course in this instance, Bernie blew this one like a suicide bomber. The questioner's dressed pretty regularly. No bomb vest in sight. Which means Sanders must associate certain shades of brown with Islam. He probably just got this one wrong because he didn't get a good enough look at him. Give him a break, his eyes aren't what they used to be.

This moment is the perfect summation of leftist character discernment. All they know how to do is segment people into voting groups (read Dear Liberals: Admit it, You Only Care About Jenner's Boobs, Not Character...). You are identified by the color of your skin, your private parts, or your preferred gender. Therefor this hipster, since he's non-white and non-black, must be Muslim. From there, it's all about how leftists can victimize and cater to you (given you're a part of the right demographic)... In return for the same special treatment. Also, your vote. They really just want your vote.
