An Ontario university professor who has applied for permanent residency in Canada is facing the prospect of having to leave the country because his son has Down Syndrome.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada has told Felipe Montoya that his son’s condition makes him inadmissible to Canada because of the potential burden the child would place on the health care system.

Montoya takes exception to CIC’s ruling, saying his 13-year-old son is currently making use of the same publicly available resources as his daughter, who does not have a disability.

He also questions CIC’s calculation of how much money his son could cost Canadian taxpayers, adding that he and his wife have been among those taxpayers since arriving in the country four years ago.

This is the ultimate discrimination. Canada can't afford to see Montoya's son as an individual. It doesn't matter that he may not need additional public health resources. He still won't qualify for citizenship. The Canadian government can't risk sparing extra resources. Why? Because at any second they could buckle under the heft of socialism.

In a capitalist society, this man could buy his son healthcare without burdening the country. That's the magic of privatized healthcare. But in a socialist world, healthcare is mandated and paid for by the government/people. That means you don't have options. You don't have choices. You must obey by the government's laws. So the Montoyas will be forced out of Canada... Simply because their son has a disability. Of course, there are already leftists in this country who support infanticide. One of whom currently lives in the White House. I'm sure many of them won't see this as a big deal. After all, their hero Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, would've snuffed this kid in the womb.
