2018 Chuck Schumer is all like "whatever Donald Trump wants, I'm against it." 2009 Chuck Schumer, if you were the write this out as a script, sounded almost identical to Trump on illegal immigration. Like many Democrats before him (see FLASHBACK: Dianne Feinstein Takes a Hard Stance Against Illegal Immigration and Democrat Senator: I Opposed Illegal Immigration because I Represented White People).

When we use phrases like 'undocumented workers,' we convey a message to the American people that their government is not serious about combating illegal immigration, which the American people overwhelmingly oppose.

People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens, and illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who entered the United States legally.

This progress includes construction of 630 miles of border fence that create a significant barrier to illegal immigration on our southern land border.

Seriously. Donald Trump should just say nothing other than "I agree" while he retweets past Democrat statements, like this one, about border security and illegal immigration. Hammer home the point that everyone claimed to be immigration hawks. Before Trump came along to actually do something about it.
