The 2022 midterms are shaping up to be a slaughter as Democrats prove day after day just how terrible their policies are, but some sights are already shifting toward a more distant future in 2024 when Republicans will have the opportunity to unseat the dimwit-in-chief. Donald Trump is, of course, a favorite for reelection, but a New Hampshire poll released this week shows a probable challenger to the former president.

The new primary poll shows Trump losing to Biden in a hypothetical matchup. This is insane seeing as Biden is little more than a shrub that is wheeled out into the light of day just long enough to prove to the press it's still alive. But against America's Governor Ron DeSantis, the tables turn.

As it turns out, DeSantis looks to be faring quite a bit better than Trump after the past year or so, thanks in part probably to the liberal press' inability to avoid stepping on rakes every time they look in Florida's direction.

Now, as RedState dutifully points out, it's the middle of 2022. Not only are we more than two years away from anyone pulling a lever for either Trump or DeSantis, but there's a midterm in a few months. There's also plenty of time for either of these gentlemen to do something stupid or great or whatever. And who knows what the parties will do. Politicians are idiots. For Christ's sake, I wouldn't be surprised to find Republicans do something dededee to lose seats in the midterms.

What I'm saying is nothing is set in stone. These poll numbers are just something to think about. In 2024, all things being equal, who has the better chance of taking the White House back from the left? Just food for thought.
