There's a level of badassery that accompanies self defense stories. I always find myself rooting for the homeowner when some unsuspecting dummy decides to waltz into the house of a fan of the Second Amendment. Especially when said homeowner would have a difficult time defending themselves otherwise (see JUSTICE: Disabled, Repeated Robbery Victim Gets a Gun... And Shoots Robber). Like this elderly woman, who managed to save the lives of her entire family despite the attempts of an armed criminal. That dangerous criminal is now dead thanks to her (and her gun), by the way. Shots to the face tend to do that.

An 80-year-old Washington state woman shot and killed a 25-year-old man after he allegedly broke into her house and stabbed her 75-year-old husband Thursday night. The husband was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen, sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton said... and [is] in stable condition. The woman and the couple's 45-year-old son, who was also in the home at the time of incident, were not injured.

Okay, an 80 year old woman won out over a 25 year old man. Think about that for a second.

That's enough.

This 25 year old punk had already stabbed her elderly husband. Nice guy. Had this woman, 80, not popped a cap in his face, it's possible both she and her elderly husband would've met a painful, bloody demise. Which is why, we must point out for the 724,652,234,490th time, we have the Second Amendment. It's to protect ourselves, our property, our lives. Our freedom.

In this case it was an 80 year old vs. 25 year old crap weasel. The 80 year old won. In no other circumstances, in nature, would such a scenario have been possible. But because of her gun, she's alive, her husband is alive, her son is alive. You want to talk about real equality? Guns provide the greatest equalizing factor in the history of ever.
