When the battle is police vs. inner city, leftists always side against the cops. With the state of our media, it's just a safe bet. The media believes anything which fits their narrative, no questions asked. The narrative being: cops are racist scumbags. But what happens when the officers in question are...how should we say this... black? People of color? NOT WHITE? Because the two officers involved in the Freddie Gray case (here are two articles to recap the story from last year) are none too pleased with the false narratives stacked against them. Guess what? The officers are suing for defamation...

Sgt. Alicia White and Officer William Porter, who are facing charges of involuntary manslaughter in the 25-year-old's death last April, filed the lawsuit against Mosby, Baltimore sheriff's office Maj. Sam Cogen and the state of Maryland on May 2, according to Baltimore Circuit Court records made public Wednesday.

The officers claim that Mosby and Cogen knew the statement of charges filed against the officers and other statements made by Mosby at a May 1, 2015, news conference announcing the charges "were false."

"These among other statements were made not for the purpose of prosecuting crimes that had allegedly been committed by White and Porter, but rather for purposes of quelling the riots in Baltimore," the suit alleges.

Lemme break that down: Mosby and her offices had a dead black criminal on their hands. They made scapegoats out of the officers involved. The officers involved are not happy with said scapegoatery (new word, you're welcome) and are now attempting to sue the liar, liar pants off of Mosby, the sheriff's office, and the entire state of Maryland for good measure.

To be clear, I do not personally support frivolous lawsuits. But this? This isn't frivolous at all. The power of the government tried to cream these two officers because of a trumped up narrative the left and media pushed: cops are evils scumbags who hate black people. But these two officers are pushing back. Hard. They're not going to duck their tails between their legs to hide. Nope. It's time for major suing.

This is important for the same reason Whole Foods threatening to sue the "Love Wins F***" hoaxer are important. Leftists know they can make any accusation they want against "the right people" (cops, Christians, etc) and have the media believe them no questions asked. They suffer no consequences for their lying. For leftists, the "seriousness of the charge" matters more than innocence or guilt. Which is why they just believe any rape hoaxer as well. THE CHARGE OF RAPE IS SERIOUS! Speaking of fake rapeness, the fraternity named in the fake Rolling Stone rape hoax? Yep, they're suing Rolling Stone.

The only way these outrageous false accusations against innocent people are going to stop is having a few high profile cases, like the three sited above, paying legal consequences for it. Action meet reaction.
