Ok Brits, take a knee. Some of you are on the fence about Brexit. I'm not here to tell you how to think or vote, what with me not living in the European Union. That's your issue to decide on your own. I'm just curious, how many of you on the fence are going to be swayed by Michael Moore lecturing you about how terrible your country is and how "racist" you are for being concerned with immigration? What if he simply insults you by saying "you sound like Donald Trump"?

Asked if he believed Britain should leave the EU, Moore said to an outsider it seemed “bonkers” that the UK was even contemplating the question.

“Why would you do this? You saved Europe. Europe today is, in large fact, because of you,” he said. “You sacrificed and suffered in the 30s and 40s to save Europe. Why would you want to leave? It costs too much money? Immigrants? Really?! That’s not who you are, come on.”

Moore compared the EU referendum to the forthcoming US presidential election, saying it was likely that those who support leaving the EU were, like Trump supporters, more aggressive in their support for their cause and therefore more likely to vote.

“I’m guessing the majority of Brits don’t want to leave the European Union,” he said. “But on election day who’s going to be out there? The haters.”

He then goes on to mock the Brits for "sounding like Donald Trump." And guess what... he's right. They do "sound" a little more like "Donald Trump" these days. You know why? Because they've tried radically far left immigration/multiculturalist policies and what have they gotten for it? Okay, usually these rebuttals are written in a flowery manner, designed to provoke critical thinking and creative discussion. With this one however, let's just let the facts and hyperlinking do the talking.

France? Charlie Hebdo, Paris attacks and record wife-beating?

Germany? Sexual assault occurring publicly, and on a massive scale the likes of which the country has never seen?

Brussels who, when after falling victim to a terror attack, was blamed for it themselves?

Sweden being the rape capital of the west?

The entire European continent placing political correctness before safety?

Having the government censor you for criticizing it? Even though pro-censorship Angela Merkel admits multiculturalism is a sham?

The brand of liberalism that Michael Moore desires has abysmally failed Europe. No matter how Moore tries to spin it, Europe is dying. That's why the "Brexit" is even a thing. They haven't worked, and they will not work.

If Europeans, who are consistently far more "liberal" than their American counterparts are starting to "sound like Donald Trump," maybe that tells you something. They've tried what Michael Moore wants. They've rejected it. One other note, Michael Moore in his interview makes a patently false claim. One in which he tries to paint non-liberals as fascists.

"The definition of fascism is when you combine state power with the power of business and capitol and you use the special ingredient of racism and fear of the outsider. Fear of the Mexican, fear of the Muslim..."

Hm. Here's the actual definition of fascism.

Interesting. I'm not seeing anything about "secret racism." I do see a whole lot about silencing dissent, silencing criticisms and authoritarianism... by its very definition.

Say, that sounds familiar. Who is it in the USA currently attempting to establish "hate speech/censorship" laws and wants increasing control over your life? I wonder...
