Remember all of those nice things we said about Ben Carson over the past year? For a while, he was so hot...but that was then, and this is him questioning the Second Amendment.

“Let’s put on the table: what is the reason for the Second Amendment? And is there a reason that we need to change those things right now? And let’s put the data on the table and let’s talk about like intelligent people, rather than getting in our respective corners and hurling insults at each other."

The Right Scoop brings up a good point and asks an important question: is this just Ben Carson continuing his job as the worst surrogate in the history of Presidential politics? Or is this a trial balloon being floated by the NRA endorsed Trump, who has already proved to be problematic when it comes to gun rights?

Because there's no other reason an intelligent man would suggest any Amendment be put "on the table." The Amendments are rights. We don't negotiate away our rights just because a Islamic terrorist kills 49 people in a nightclub. Or if Islamic terrorists kill 14 people at a Christmas party. The reason we have the Second Amendment is so we can defend ourselves. Like from those individuals just mentioned. Or a tyrannical government who wants to, say, NEGOTIATE AWAY OUR RIGHTS. How is this hard?

Is there an echo in here? I swear I've made this point a million bajillion times. Right?

And again, because this can't be stressed enough especially when you see how anti-free speech leftists are lately, take all Second Amendment arguments and replace them with the First Amendment. Here, lemme help you with a visual:

Sorry, Ben Carson. We lavished you with praise last year for many a good reason. Can't do you this one, Doc. Republicans do not negotiate their Second Amendment rights, as Andrea Mitchel isn't going to negotiate her right to a free press (even though there were no anchors when the Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution. Do camera's count?).

Do us a solid, Doc. Try to at least make the job of anti-gun leftists a bit more challenging. Echoing their talking points is not so helpful for the side you allege to be on.
