We write about how Chicago is a giant heap of leftist policies a lot, policies which are largely ignored by the media. Even though said policies are typically the root causes to Chicago's strife. Today I want you to listen to the words of the Chicago police officer on trying to police Chicago.

The fact that he had to speak on the condition of anonymity speaks volumes too. Worth a watch. Also, language warning.

Respect for the police is very limited in certain areas of the city of Chicago. It's become more and more difficult to police. I know a lot of really talent officers on the Chicago Police Department that aren't doing anything. They're afraid of getting jammed up, meaning sued or fired, for doing their job.

It used to be a job where it was fun to go out there and take guns and dope off the street. I feel as if our hands are tied now. And there's a lot of bulls*** paperwork involved now that makes officers want to kind of really not be aggressive and fight crime. I think it makes them want to just pick up a pay check and say "F*** this."

If I could see my life and livelihood destroyed just because of people with a political agenda, I'd stop caring too. Multiply that by people shooting at you, or trying to fry you if you shoot at someone who threatens violence against you, and you're looking down a lose-lose scenario. Meanwhile the criminal element in cities like Chicago rejoice. Cops are painted as the bad guys, while ne'er-do-wells like #BlackLivesMatter are propped up and given grievance trophies. Sometimes by our own President.

This is the state of our police culture. This video focuses on Chicago, but the attitudes against cops, the narrative that they're a bunch of white KKK members hunting black people for sport, is spreading. We're seeing the repercussions of this narrative nationwide (read Police Officer Deaths up 1,000 Percent This Year... Surprised?).

Also, every time gun control is brought up? We're told only the police should have guns. But when gun control isn't on the table? Cops are a bunch of racist killers. I bring this up to illustrate the left's two favorite narratives, which share a common theme: nobody but government bureaucrats should be trusted with your life. Who they place that trust in changes from time to time, but the trust never lies with you.
