In Massachusetts, Attorney General Maura Healy just decided she was going to ban assault weapons. Well, not "assault weapons" as much as the AR-15, which isn't an assault weapon no matter how many times leftists like to say it is. It's just usually black, and has one of those scary vertical grip thingies. Plus a collapsable stock. Flip sights. Anyway, the thing goes bang super loud. It's SCARY!

The Massachusetts assault weapons ban mirrors the federal ban Congress allowed to expire in 2004. It prohibits the sale of specific weapons like the Colt AR-15 and AK-47 and explicitly bans “copies or duplicates” of those weapons. But gun manufacturers have taken it upon themselves to define what a “copy” or “duplicate” weapon is. They market “state compliant” copycat versions of their assault weapons to Massachusetts buyers. They sell guns without a flash suppressor or folding or telescoping stock, for example, small tweaks that do nothing to limit the lethalness of the weapon.

That will end now. On Wednesday, we are sending a directive to all gun manufacturers and dealers that makes clear that the sale of these copycat assault weapons is illegal in Massachusetts. With this directive, we will ensure we get the full protection intended when lawmakers enacted our assault weapons ban, not the watered-down version of those protections offered by gun manufacturers.

Ah, yes I see. The comparing AR-15's to AK-47's and "OOOOOOH.....ASSAULT SCARY" strategy.

LwC has debunked all of the left's AR-15's myth's in full detail. The AR-15 seems to be the left's favorite gun-lie du joir because facts schmacts, but as you'll see by clicking the link, the only thing they say truthfully about the AR-15 is that yes, it is in fact a gun. Ergo it fires little projectiles known more commonly as "bullets." No, the AR-15 still doesn't use a "clip." It uses a magazine. Don't be a dunce.

Also, the flash suppressor doesn't make it any more or less lethal. It helps suppress the flash. The flash is the blasty light when the gun goes bang-bang.

And as said at the opening of this post, a telescopic stock doesn't make the rifle more or less lethal either. It makes it more or less comfortable. For the person shooting it. Because people are, as they say, effing different. You know, body wise. Whatever happened to the body pride movement? Some people have longer arms than others. This movement against a telescoping stock is discrimination against different body proportions, isn't it?

It's also remarkable that the more leftists try to ban guns, the more popular they get...including the oh so scary "assault" weapon.

I'd like to take this time to wax on about how much I personally love my AR-15. I've named her "My Precious." Because obviously. The gun is easy to shoot, easy to clean, easy to operate. It's incredibly accurate with just iron sights. I've never loved a gun as much as I love my AR-15. Methinks many Americans share a similar affinity for their own ARs. Hence the need to ban them...

I guess what I'm getting at is, thank you Attorney General Maura Healey for all the love and support you have given to us who support gun rights and the Second Amendment. You're just going to make the AR-15 even more popular than it already is, because you discriminate against it. It's also clear you've not got an iota of common sense rolling around in your mostly empty head. Maybe you should, like, read or something. Books. Try some books.
