Everything Wrong With '84 Lumber' Pro-Illegal Immigrant Super Bowl Commercial...
Everyone expected Lady Gaga to be a big obnoxious political statement at the Super Bowl. You know, since celebrities have no self control (see Dumbass Celebrity Has-Beens DEMAND Electoral College Blocks Trump and Crowder Mercilessly Mocks Anti-Trump Celebrity Meltdowns). Instead, a company you've likely never heard of won in terms of wrongness and obnoxiousness. Turns out the full ad by 84 Lumber was rejected, what with it glorifying breaking the law. Of course, it's still getting heaps of praise from the left. Guess why...
“Ignoring the border wall and the conversation around immigration that’s taking place in the media and at every kitchen table in America just didn’t seem right,” said Rob Shapiro, the chief client officer at Brunner, the agency that worked with 84 Lumber to come up with the ad. “If everyone else is trying to avoid controversy, isn’t that the time when brands should take a stand for what they believe in?”
Firstly, this video has propaganda written all over it. The goal of this clip is painfully obvious. Like Amy Schumer in a lineup of supermodels. It was shot and edited in a way that was meant to evoke an emotional response - hence the cute kid and her mom. It's meant to pose an argument which demands you must not only be pro-immigrant, but pro-illegal immigrant... Or else you HATE KIDS! Tis common practice among the left (see #DNC: Mother, Daughter Get Standing Ovation... For Being Illegal Immigrants?).
Blatant breaking of the law aside, the commercial also speaks volumes about Mexico. It's a tacit admission that Mexico is the suckiest of sucks. While Mexicans are busy trying to escape Mexico, people will do anything it takes to get into America. Clearly. But to point out the difference in our countries, or to be proud of America's rich culture and history? Well, you already know...
Remember, the American people voted for change in November. This is why. While the media, Hollywood, and multi-billion dollar companies like 84 Lumber are obviously pro-open borders... Regular American folks are not. By "taking a stand for what we believe in," 84 Lumber has managed to insult and alienate Americans who value national security. Also, immigrants who did it the right way by coming here legally.
Mind you, a beautifully shot commercial like this costs quite a bit to create. But the cost extends far past simply money alone. These huge, crony capitalist corporations seem to have a vested interest in selling out the American worker. In this case, 84 Lumber took a sucker punch at the heart of America in a commercial meant to be aired during one of the most American pastime events ever. But remember, you can't criticize the left's obsession with crime... Lest ye be branded a racist!
