Hillary Clinton released an ad about guns, and leftists sure are excited over it. Excuse us while we throw up a little in our mouths.

Okay, after you've washed the puke out of your teeth, come back and read our commentary. We'll wait.

You’ll notice the only policy position Clinton takes in the ad is, “we need to close the loopholes and support universal background checks.” While some of the other things she advocates might not be quite as popular, universal background checks is always going to be the first thing out of her mouth when this issue comes up. Now her version of "background checks" might be different from your definition of "background checks." More on that in a minute.

Set aside the disdain the left has towards gun owners and the NRA - really, anyone who has a different opinion than them - and look at how gullible they think we are. Even the people in the ad nodded like mindless automatons at Hillary's "common sense" rhetoric which was really just ambiguity. "Loopholes" and "background checks" are market tested buzzwords that mean anything you want them to mean. Kind of like "hope and change." Ever notice how they never actually specify an actual "loophole"?

Now, while this ad is a joke to those of us who dust off our brains each morning and put them to use, the threat Clinton and a liberal President pose to our 2nd amendment rights is real. Very real. Read Ted Cruz Warns: We're one Liberal Justice away From Full Gun Control.

Democrats and leftists do not want individuals to have the freedom to protect themselves. We already have laws that take guns out of criminal hands, like Project Exile, which you can read more about here. But Democrats don't want successful programs like Project Exile, because it takes away their talking points (usually losing talking points) about "universal background checks" and closing "loopholes." So what do they do? They oppose them. Yes, really. Democrats overwhelmingly oppose true measures that would cut down on gun-crime (read more about the left's opposition to Project Exile Here). Why? Because what Clinton and her leftist comrades want is no guns at all. Not in your hands, not in my hands, not even for hunting and certainly not for self-protection. In the Clinton and leftist mindset, guns are the tools of Satan.

Just ignore the fact that they're being used to protect her...
