Actor, Jeremy Irons: 'Abortion Harms Women.' Leftists Respond with Hate...
And here I thought the most controversial topic Jeremy Irons waded into was the argument between fans vs. critics on Batman v Superman. Nope, the actor just went one step further. A whole lot further, when he gave his honest opinion on abortion.
I know, leftists hate it when you're honest about abortion. They also hate it when you disagree with them about anything. Ever. In the history of aaaaallllll the world. From LifeNews:
“I think the church is right to say [abortion’s] a sin,” Irons said in his interview with The Guardian. He continued, “Abortion harms a woman – it’s a tremendous mental attack, and physical, sometimes. But we seem to get that muddled. In a way, thank God the Catholic church does say we won’t allow it, because otherwise nobody’s saying that it’s a sin.”
So of course, "tolerant" liberals gonna "tolerant" liberal...
@andreagrimes I thought his most famous role was Dumb Asshole Who Somehow Plays Smart Guys.— DarkLordoftheSeth (@DarkLordoftheSeth) 1459300885.0
@Jezebel well, I was pro-choice, but since the voice of Scar weighed in, I am now pro-life— Worfwworfington (@Worfwworfington) 1458866546.0
So, to recap, Bernie Sanders declaring that abortion anywhere, anytime is fine. Chelsea Clinton saying she left the church as a six-year old because of abortion is totes kewl. Planned Parenthood selling harvested baby parts? Ain't no thang, baby.
Jeremy Irons saying that maybe, just maybe, abortion is more harmful to women than people care admit? Time for the Twitter lynch mob to grab their torch and pitchforks! The crazy thing is that Jeremy Irons wasn't even wading into the territory of legality or even government intervention. He was simply trying to highlight the negative personal ramifications that come with having an abortion.
You know who else has done this? Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Barack Obama and every liberal in the history of ever. How often have you heard them deliver the prerequisite "it's a very difficult decision to make, and abortion should not be the first option blahblahblahblahblah" right before they pivot to demanding that taxpayers fund more of them? I'm guessing too many to count.
The leftist reaction here illuminates one thing. Not only do leftists believe abortion should be legal, not only do they believe it should be subsidized, not only do they have no moral objections to the practice whatsoever... but they have a greater moral objection to the fact that you have a moral objection.
Hear ex-Planned Parenthood director talk about that more, below.
