The Will Smith vs. Chris Rock drama is approaching its death knell. At least until Rock shows up at the Comedy Cellar or Smith shows up for a teary interview with Michael Strahan. But before we move on, it's important to hear from two very important people: Adam Sandler and David Spade. The two came up with Rock back when "Saturday Night Live" was funny. And they made a point to show their friend love and support.

David Spade pointed out it wasn't a Jada Smith joke, it was a GI Jane joke. When some woke nincompoop tried to correct him, Spade wasn't having it.

Adam Sandler didn't address the slapping directly. However, he did make it a point to send love his friend's way.

For those wondering, Rob Schneider didn't address the Oscars directly. But yesterday, he did send a tweet about violence not being the answer. Kevin James didn't address the incident at all, but it also appears that Kevin James is smart enough to stay off of social media for the most part. If it came down to it, I'm sure they'd be ready to rumble. Because at the end of the day:

I'm over the whole brouhaha. I thought it was funny, at first. Then I realized what a dick Will Smith was. Now we're in the annoying think-piece stage where everyone needs to analyze what Oscars Slapsgiving meant to us as a society. What did Smith slapping Rock have to say about Donald Trump's effect on America? What did it have to say about racism? And who is and isn't allowed to make jokes about who and what?

The only thing we as free people need to know is how soon after Smith's hand met Rock's cheek did the Grammys organizers call Kanye West and tell him he can come to the awards after all. You know they are sending a limo, "accidentally" sitting Pete Davidson one section over, and making sure Ye gets drunk before the awards start. Now, THAT'S entertainment.
