The ginormous douchenugget known as Jussie Smollett is getting his comeuppance. So, naturally, many lefties are distancing themselves from the undisputed Milli Vanilli of hate crime victims. Though, there are still a few lefty holdouts coming to Jussie's defense. Like the editor of LGBT magazine The Advocate.

He's suggesting the whole thing is an elaborate scam to benefit the Donald. For reals:

The suggestion at the beginning of this clip that Chicago cops moved quickly to declare the alleged attack on Smollett racist and homophobic because they had ulterior motives beggars belief. Zach Stafford’s theory is that police rushed to do that because they suspected a hoax from the beginning and wanted to maximize the sense of betrayal when the truth eventually came out. Normally they’re more cautious in hate-crime cases, he claims.

"This police department did in 2016, openly through their union, support Donald Trump. A lot of this case has been focused on the MAGA statements and the far right has really clung to them."

Yep, Jussie's plot to make MAGA people look bad was really the Chicago Police's plot to make Jussie look bad and to make MAGA people look good. It's a conspiracy inside a conspiracy inside a conspiracy.

Let's do a quick recap here. Jussie Smollett was trying to score a Subway sandwich at 2am when he crossed paths with two MAGA people. Being that they were evil right-wing racists, they had a noose, ski-masks, and a bottle of bleach, just in case they found the fancy-lad fella who's their least favorite character from Empire out and about. They bleached and beat Jussie, he went to the po-po. Then, the po-po fabricated a paper trail leading to Jussie in order to help the Donald. Makes sense, right?

You'd think lefties like editor guy here would learn their lesson about verifying their claims on the first go-round. Alas, they refuse to accept the reality of the situation. That their pal Jussie is nothing more than a dishonest dickweed.
