President Trump was supposed to meet with some of our cities' mayors. There's a beef though. Trump wants to enforce immigration laws. The mayors, a lot of whom who are mayors of sanctuary cities, want to pick and choose the laws they follow. As if the laws are but a dinner buffet, where immigration laws are wilting salads, always neglected, often sneezed upon.

Those same mayors' main solution to not enforcing the laws is to imitate bratty children and whine about Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

The Justice Department is threatening 23 so-called sanctuary cities, including New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, with subpoenas if they fail to provide documents to show whether local law enforcement officers are sharing information with federal immigration authorities.

The demand, outlined Wednesday by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, represents a new escalation by the Trump administration to punish local jurisdictions that do not fully comply with federal immigration enforcement efforts, including by sharing the immigration status of local prisoners.

An impending sanctuary city crackdown is as surprising as a feminist bitching about the patriarchy. After she's denied a promotion. Mayors could side with the law, or pander to illegal immigrants.

With Democrats, when there's a choice to side with the law-abiding, or criminals, they always choose criminals:

"Unfortunately, the Trump administration’s decision to threaten mayors and demonize immigrants yet again — and use cities as political props in the process — has made this meeting untenable" said New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu

*ILLEGAL immigrants. Fixed it for you.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio called the subpoena threat a renewal of the Trump administration's "racist assault on our immigrant communities."

Again, *ILLEGAL immigrants. Also, your roads and subways are more cracked than a leftist's sanity post Trump's election. The president, who lives in your city, might be able to help. I guess too many legal citizens are negatively affected for de Blasio to give a hoot. Taxpayers can go screw themselves with what little money government didn't rob.

“You can threaten subpoenas, you can threaten arrests, but we will keep fighting for the Constitution,” Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said.

If you cared about the Constitution you would know everyone is talking about ILLEGAL immigrants. For which there is no clause in the Constitution about protecting. Again, an inscription on the Statue of Liberty does not a policy make. Stop it.

For some reason, the Lt. Gov. of California also wanted to sound off. I guess he saw a bunch of leftists crying and needed to say #MeToo. Where two or more morons are gathered in a Democrats' name, there are tantrums in their midst.

You would think these ninnymuggins would've learned a lesson from Democrats shutting down the government over illegal immigration. For a few days, at least, until they saw it was a losing game. Yet, it appears illegal immigration is an issue they think will propel them to victory. Despite it being the same issue which propelled Trump to victory (both in the primaries and into the presidency). That, and praying to the flying spaghetti monster the FBI finds evidence of Russian collusion. Despite not finding evidence in a full year's time.
