Ahmed Mohamed "Clock Boy" Now Attending School with Ties to Hamas...
Ahmed Mohamed, the now infamous "clock boy" is moving. Because he's like, too famous. Famous for taking an alarm clock out of its casing and putting it into a suitcase - because what kid doesn't want a suitcase clock - and then being arrested after his teacher incorrectly saw his "invention" as something worthy of suspicion. Because, as echoed by Bill Maher, it looked like a bomb. Silly woman. Probably a racist.
As part of his world tour to proclaim how racist-religious-oppressive Americans hate me, Ahmed met with President Obama... and less than 24 hours later, he announced his family is leaving the United States. Obama is unpopular, sure, but that unpopular?
The Mohamed family issued the following statement:
“After careful consideration of all the generous offers received, we would like to announce that we have accepted a kind offer from Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) for Ahmed to join the prestigious QF Young Innovators Program, which reflects the organization’s on-going dedication to empowering young people and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity.”
Call me crazy... but pulling the guts out of an alarm clock doesn't exactly make you Mensa material, nor worthy of an invitation to a prestigious overseas school. But what do I know?
Maybe Ahmed's a double-secret genius?
The Qatar Foundation International, or QFI, in 2011 partnered with the Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to facilitate matchmaking between classrooms in the U.S. and international schools through something called the “Connect All Schools” project.QFI, funded by the Qatari government, explains on its website the initiative was founded in response to Obama’s call in his June 2009 speech to the Arab world in Cairo, Egypt, to “create a new online network, so a young person in Kansas can communicate instantly with a young person in Cairo.”
Additionally, Ahmed turned down MIT - the school in Massachusetts that's like every techies dream location for higher education - in favor of QFI. And QFI doesn't just have ties to the Obama administration. Its founder is the creator of Al Jazeera, who has close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. And... Hamas. As Breitbart reported,
Earlier this month, QF gifted the teen and his family with a trip and tour of the five-mile Education City, founded by Al Jazeera creator Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who is closely associated with the Muslim Brotherhood and opposes what he calls the “Judaization of Jerusalem” in referencing the Jewish Holy City and Israeli capitol, founded it. In late 2012, the New York Times reported Al Thani pledged $400 million to fund Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Those items would raise eyebrows for most America-loving Americans, don't ya think? But not for Ahmed Mohamed. Add it all together? Like I told you when Ahmed and his entourage went to meet Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir... this kid isn't as innocent as you think he is. Yes, I'll say it...
Clock boy stated he's looking forward to moving to Qatar because it's "amazing," he met other kids "like him" and it's a "cool" city. Apparently neither he nor his parents have a problem with forced labor, a lack of free speech, and rape victims being jailed for coming forward. But America and Islamaphobia for arresting a kid who brought a clock that looked like a bomb to school...that's the real problem.
Enjoy Qatar, Ahmed. Freedom's overrated, anyway.
