Congratulations leftists, you built this.

You know the story about the Alabama police detective who got pistol-whipped with his own gun? The same Alabama police detective where people, instead of helping him, took pictures and tweeted things like "pistol whipped his ass to sleep," while making jokes about him taking a nap? Yeah, that story. Oh you don't know about it? Congratulations, you're probably a decent human being.

The reason why this happened? The detective, who wants to remain anonymous (no doubt out of fear of the "tolerant" left trying to ruin his life) hesitated after he was attacked because he was concerned with how the media would take it completely out of context in order to push their anti-cop agenda:

“A lot of officers are being too cautious because of what’s going on in the media. I hesitated because I didn’t want to be in the media like I am right now.”

His Sargent and Police Chief, who says he's lucky to be alive, echoed his concerned.

"The nobility and integrity of policing has been challenged…As a profession, we have allowed popular culture to draft a narrative which is contrary to the amazing work that so many officers are doing everyday across this nation."

Great job leftists. You've now made the USA a less safe place to live. I've talked about this on the show many times. I even talked about it this week, saying "I really am curious to see the numbers at the end of the year telling us how many more cops are being assaulted." Well, we're hearing rumblings now, and the numbers aren't pretty. Check back and we'll keep you abreast.

This is what happens when you create a culture that vilifies police officers through gross generalizations. Officers are now afraid to treat criminals... like criminals.

I also guarantee that police recruitment levels will hit record lows. Who wants to enter a line of work where you might be killed, and nobody praises you for a job well done? On the flip-side, unless you perform every task perfectly, you'll be vilified and plastered all over the nightly news. Just pick another line of work instead. Maybe community organizing.
