Alaska Board of Education Votes To Exclude Males From Girls' Sports

The Alaska State Board of Education on Thursday voted to support banning boys from competing on high school girls athletic teams, joining at least 22 states that have laws that prevent boys from playing on girls’ teams in K-12 schools.
In other words, Alaska saw the need to take action as fair competition in women's sports is still being threatened as losing male athletes continue to join women's teams in their last hope of winning. Which subsequently, threatens the integrity of the game.
But the ACLU wants to make people think this bans “trans girls [MALES] from school sports.” Which is not true. They can still run track in a dress, but it will have to be on the boys’ team.
This painfully disregards scientific facts and claims that a male athlete who identifies as female is biologically identical to an actual female, which is obviously a lie.
Student representative Felix Myers disagreed with the board's decision and was the only one who voted against the motion. He said the body was mistakenly discussing the idea of men participating in women’s sports rather than the issue of trans women participating in women’s sports.
The lack of self awareness in what Myers said is astonishing.
“When it comes back to helping protect girls’ sports, I think there’s a lot more issues that we can address here in Alaska,” Myers said.
“I don’t think anyone would go through the strain, the bullying, the — all of the problems that come with being around kids when you’re different,” Myers said. “If someone is truly going to go out of their way to identify this way, that is a huge sacrifice and they are the bravest, bravest students among us.”
This kid is really something.
The same people who claim they are for women’s rights are also perpetuating ongoing gender discrimination.
This motion should serve as a reminder to young women that they deserve every opportunity afforded to men. Thankfully, many states are stepping up to protect girls' sports.
