Canada has decided it would not like to change anything and has voted to uphold the status quo. Today’s show gets into why Alberta should secede from Canada.

According to the recent election results, Alberta voters don’t matter when it comes to the rest of the country.

Alberta remained solidly Conservative blue in Monday’s federal election, dominating in all but a handful of ridings while bucking the national trend that saw Mark Carney’s Liberals returned for a fourth term.

In smaller centres and rural areas, Conservatives were elected and re-elected, many in landslide numbers, including Garnett Genuis in Sherwood Park-Fort Saskatchewan, Shannon Stubbs in Lakeland, Michelle Rempel Garner in Calgary Nose Hill, Rachael Thomas in Lethbridge and John Barlow in Foothills.

The Conservatives were elected in 34 ridings in early returns.

A lot of people have blamed the United States and Trump over the election results.

"You can't say that you are your nation, going your way, and then blame your national election results on the country to the south of you if you are truly independent," Crowder said.

Carney is en route to Edmonton on the campaign’s final day, sensing opportunity in the oil-rich province where the name Trudeau — invoking both Justin and his father, Pierre — has been a dirty word for decades. Albertans often feel forgotten, ignored or dismissed by politicians who live and work to the east.

"[Albertans] need to leave Canada," Crowder said. “Canada is a Marxist hellhole, and the rest of Canada despises you.”

Ottawa does not share the same values as Albertans.

"Carney has extensive ties to China and the CCP," Crowder said. “He directly aligns himself with the CCP.”

For the past decade, they’ve felt that Liberals in Ottawa have ignored Alberta’s massive contribution to Canada’s economic growth and worked against the oil and gas sector that has fueled so much of it.

"It's one thing to say, 'Hey, we have a problem with the United States and these reciprocal tariffs.' It’s another thing to say, ‘Donald Trump is a fascist and he does not respect human rights. So, we are going to align ourselves with China.’ It’s not a moral virtue, it tells you it’s about money.”
