John Schneider is an actor you know from either the "Dukes of Hazzard" or "Smallville". It depends on how much of an old head you are (I'm "Bo Duke" old). Like many American's, Schneider watched Alec Baldwin's interview on ABC News. The one where Alec says he feels no guilt for the gun that went off in his hand and killed a cinematographer. Also like many American's, Schneider heard the former Trump impersonator's excuse and said, "Dafuq he just say?"

Schneider illustrates on a Colt--after painstakingly checking that his gun was NOT loaded (unlike a certain producer and a certain armorer)--that Baldwin's story doesn't quite make sense.

Baldwin told George Stephanopoulos: “I pulled the hammer as far back as I could without cocking the gun. I let go of the hammer and bang, the gun goes off.” As per Schneider's demonstration here, as well as a healthy dose of common sense, Baldwin's story as told by Baldwin doesn't hold up.

Or, allegedly doesn't hold up. Schneider isn't making a claim as much as he's just demonstrating. What actually happened is up for the investigators to figure out. Or any reporter that's willing to risk the wrath of an unhinged Baldwin.

Also, apropos of nothing, to this day the longest week of my life was that week in second grade between when they announced Bo and Luke were coming back to Hazzard to the following Friday when they made their return. I also tried getting into my dad's car without opening the door, but that's a different story.
