On Wednesday bodycam footage from the Allen Shooting was finally released. We see the heroic unnamed police officer go from reminding a kid about the importance of wearing a seatbelt to grabbing his gun and running TOWARDS an active shooter shooting up a mall.

"I'm on foot. I need everybody I got. ... A real mass shooter. ... I'm moving as fast as I can."

The officer spotted the shooter and have a dozen or so on-point shots, "I got him down."

The Allen Police Department released a statement on the officer's heroism:

"This video shows how quickly a routine interaction with the public turned into a life-and-death situation, The officer recognized the danger, ran toward the gunfire, and neutralized the threat — and for his actions, the Allen community is forever grateful."

On May 6th, a gunman murdered eight people (three children) and injured ten more when he shot up an outdoor mall in Allen, Texas. Had it not been for this officer's bravery, the event would have been more tragic.
