There are people in America who would prefer you get stabbed to death than defend yourself with a firearm. That's the lesson an Amazon delivery driver is learning now. Gino Grove was forced to defend himself in what police call a clear act of self-defense. Now, the married father of three has been deactivated as a driver for Amazon.

The way Grove tells the story is that a crazed man came after him with a large blade, screaming, "Knife fight." Grove raised his gun and warned the guy. When the guy wouldn't stop coming after him, Grove shot him in the leg.

Grove saw in the man's eyes that being shot in the leg didn't phase him. Thankfully, the blade welding man ran from the site after being shot. Police found him at a hospital.

"If I didn’t have my firearm, I wouldn't be here today. I know that for a fact. I would not be here today. My family would be planning my funeral.”

Middletown Ohio police say Grove acted in self-defense. An investigator told the local press that the aggressor with a new hole in his leg "walking away from the hospital kind of helped clarify the situation that the Amazon delivery driver was just defending himself."

Now, Grove isn't sure if he still has a job. He told the press Amazon deactivated him as a driver. The married father of three supporting his family, forced to defend himself so he was able to make it home and continue supporting his family, has been deactivated from his job.
