Amy Schumer Caught Stealing Many, Many, Jokes...
Amy Schumer is the darling comedian of the left, because faux feminism or something. Here's the rub though. When she isn't cyber-bullying 17 year old fans in the best way possible and fighting to have your guns taken away...she's taking other comedian's jokes.
Let's go to the video tape...
Comedian Wendy Liebman sparked the controversy by tweeting, “Between Amy Schumer doing 1 of my best jokes on her HBO special and this meme of my joke, I’m done with social media.” That tweet was deleted, but it struck a chord with other comedians.Arrested Development writer and comedian Chuck Martin replied to Liebman’s tweet suggesting that she talk to comedian Kathleen Madigan, insinuating that the same thing may have happened to her.
This isn’t the first time Schumer has been accused of Carlos Menstealing material. Back in October, there was accusations that Schumer ripped off jokes from the legendary Patrice O’Neal.
The video is pretty damning, but of course Amy Schumer denies it.
As a comedian, the only truly offensive joke is the one you've stolen from another comedian. Especially if you've taken their material and made millions off of it while the person you stole it from is still working the club circuit. It's just sad.
But I suppose for leftists, this is merely "joke redistribution." After all, it's the fair thing to do. Isn't it funny that even self-professed liberals like Kathleen Madigan or Sarah Silverman still live their personal lives like Conservatives? They believe in centralized government and "fairness" but when it comes to their own income and profession they are absolutely cut-throat, workhorses. I say this out of respect. There are fewer harder-working comedians than Kathleen Madigan or (once upon a time) Jon Stewart. All far-left, but all hard-workers. Why? Because of that performance-based pay, yo.
On another note, Kathleen Madigan is one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time. One who many of you may not have ever watched. Yes, she's about as leftist as they come, but you know what? Who cares? She's absolutely hilarious. And she's one of the few female comedians who's done it without the need for a gimmick. Watch her dismantling of Oprah below. SODA WARNING.
Comics like Amy Schumer, Chelsea Handler or Sarah Silverman can be funny. But they're so one-note, they make Ke$ha seem like a symphony orchestrator. I can list about three or four categories/premises, turn on a Schumer or Handler DVD and set a stop-watch. It will never take me more than 30 seconds for them to immediately cling to those topics. That's why most men don't find female comedians funny. It's just repetitive.
Kathleen Madigan is the antithesis to that. Whether it's politics (on which we would vehemently disagree), personal stories, or neutral observations, she's always writing and she's always funny. I hate to see someone like her get gipped by a thief.
Think this is theft? Tweet me @scrowder and I'll be sure to likely not respond. But maybe...
