There's been a lot about what makes a "moderate Muslim." Some say it's a myth or a contradiction of terms. However, there has been some exceptions to the rule. Whenever there is such an exception, we must give credit where due. Never claim we're ignoring the moderate Muslims when we find them. In fact it's such a rarity, we're super excited to find even one. It's like a four-leaf clover eating unicorn.

Like this woman who may have prevented a second attack in Paris...

The woman who gave French police the vital tip-off about the secret hiding place of the mastermind of the Paris attacks has revealed the terrifying moment she met Abdelhamid Abaaoud.

'I'd seen him on TV,' the woman said, recalling how she had accompanied Abaaoud's cousin Hasna Aitboulahcen to the fugitive's secret hiding place in a wooded area near the suburb of Aubervillier.

Realising his intentions to carry out another massacre, she tried to get Aitboulahcen drunk to stop her helping Abaaoud before secretly informing police of his plans.

Now living under police protection and fearful for her life, the woman told The Washington Post that she was a surrogate mother to Aitboulahcen and struggled with feelings of guilt over her death.

'It's important that the world knows that I am Muslim myself. It's important to me that people know what Abaaoud and the others did is not what Islam is teaching,' she said, explaining why she informed the police.

First of all, thank you to this woman for putting her own life at risk to save others. Feminists take note. This is what an actual female hero looks like. Please also note she's done the hero thing while wearing all of her clothes and not being fat. Details.

Second point, she wants people to know Muslims are not teaching violence...but she is in hiding from other Muslims because Islam isn't teaching violence...

I guess the Muslims this woman knows are teaching the violence. Otherwise she wouldn't need to hide. Or at least that's the conclusion my obviously racist brain has drawn. #NotAllMuslims are violent... except the ones this woman is hiding from. And prevented from blowing up infidels. Okay. Got it.

Then Islam is still the Religion of Peace (trademark pending). Phew. That was close.

Still, we need to keep commending this woman for actually going against what her peers in Islam are teaching. That is not blowing up the infidels. Baby steps.
