It is a time-honored tradition in politics for campaigns to scour media appearances of your opponent to see what you can use against them. Like Kamala Harris going on "The View" to say there is no difference between her and Joe Biden, and the Trump campaign adding, "I'm Donald Trump, and I approve this message" at the end. Team Harris attempted to do the same with Trump's appearance on Andrew Schulz's "Flagrant" podcast. They even paid the comedian for the footage! They won't like what he's doing with the money, though.

Here's the ad in question:

Whoops! That's the wrong video. It's from the summer when Schulz gave his opinion of Kamala as a candidate. Team Harris licensed a video of Trump's INTERVIEW with the podcast.

Ok, so that's NOT the clip Kamala used in her ad. But it's funny as hell.

Harris used some silly thing Trump had said about Mike Pence. There are paid political professionals who think there is a secret pro-Pence bloc in the GOP that they can get to vote for Kamala in the election, so they cut an "OMG! LOOK WHAT TRUMP SAID ABOUT PENCE!" ad. I strained an ocular socket writing that as my eyes rolled so hard.

Schulz was happy to take the $50,000 licensing fee the Kamala campaign paid for the footage. Kamala, on the other hand, will not be happy to know where the money is going.

Schulz's statements, both of receiving the money and his plans to donate it to Donald Trump, have not been independently fact-checked by an "independent" "fact" checker. Schulz, as a comedian, could have been telling what we in the blogging community refer to as "jokes."

Though, Andrew DID start having shows cancelled after the Trump interview. So...

I guess we'll find out when the October FEC report gets filed.
