It's a story as old as time--or at least, it's as old as Hollywood. A once-popular celebrity has hit rock bottom. And while these things used to happen outside public view, it seems as though it's being captured more and more. For Andy Dick, he just live-streamed it for us.

Now, all jokes aside, it's not a funny story. When someone is actively destroying themselves, there's nothing funny about it--though, we may choose to make a few jokes anyway because, well, what else can you do.

The position Mr. Dick--which, cm'on, could there be a more appropriate name for a sexual predator?--has put himself in is largely of his own making, but that doesn't make it any better. If anything, it makes it that much worse. Like so many in our society today, Dick is surrounded by people who couldn't care less about his physical and mental health. They're watching him spiral and self-destruct, and none of them have the decency or care enough about the man to sit him down and say, "Dude, this, what you're doing here, isn't good. You need to unf*ck yourself."

That's sad. At least when I screw up, I have people around me who have no problem telling me so. They might roast me a bit, but at least they tell me to stop doing what I'm doing. And we should all be so lucky as to have such people around us. Dick doesn't have that.

So, moral of the story: Don't be a Dick, and don't be like Dick's friends because they're dicks, too. And also, and this shouldn't have to be said so explicitly, but this is 2022--where parents think it's okay to bring their children to drag shows: Don't sexually assault people!
