Anthony Bourdain is a celebrity chef. Like most celebrities, you're going to hate a lot of what he had to say in this recent post-election interview. But considering the utter lack of self awareness from leftists post election day (which has carried on forever), this one paragraph needs to be highlighted...

But I think to mock constantly, as so much of the left has done — to demonize, to ridicule, to treat with abject contempt people who live in a very different America than they live in — is both ugly and counterproductive. There are a lot of people who are pissed off, they’re tired of being talked to like that. There are a lot of people in this world who, when an Applebee’s moves to their town, it’s a big deal — and I don’t mean that in a dismissive way. Where somebody coming to take your guns away is a big concern. Look, I don’t think racism can ever be forgiven. It’s a conversation-ender for me, for sure. But if you grew up isolated, no interaction or little interaction, the only interaction you’ve had has been negative, and you’re fearful of the Other, and somehow everything you read in the paper makes it seem like they’re getting all the breaks, especially when, in the news environment we live in now, it’s perfectly permissible to lie.

Just yesterday alone, the big story was Angry Liberal Chases, Screams and Harasses Ivanka Trump on Flight. How full of hate does someone have to be to attack a woman in front of her children, because you don't like her father's political opinion? Especially when... Ivanka is the one who has conservatives worried about what Trump is actually going to do. A rational person would have a conversation with Ivanka. Or maybe leave her the heck alone. Not brag on Twitter how they're about to harass the future first-daughter... who was flying coach.

Leftists have spent so much time demonizing anyone who disagrees on any single issue or about anything ever, they've virtually shut down any kind of reasonable dialogue. They've engendered real intolerance. People are fed up with their elitist attitudes and rampant intolerance for anyone who disagrees with them. At the rate they're--still--going, there won't be another Democrat president elected for decades.

So, like, please keep going at that rate.
