If your wish for 2021 was another Rand Paul smackdown of Anthony "Literally the Science" Fauci, you may be in luck. Project Veritas has uncovered military documents that may show Fauci did, in fact, lie under oath about his agency's funding of "gain of function" (GOF) research. "Gain of function" is the research some believe may have led to the creation of the coronavirus that has wreaked havoc on the planet for the past two years. Though, GOF is widely considered to be a "conspiracy theory" among Fauci fanbois and people in Big Tech who write the algorithms that determine what information you're allowed to see. Also, the NIH changed the definition of what gain of function research is.

"Though the main report regarding the EcoHealth Alliance proposal leaked on the internet a couple of months ago, it has remained unverified until now. Project Veritas has obtained a separate report to the Inspector General of the Department of Defense written by US Marine Corps Major Joseph Murphy, a former DARPA fellow."

"Major Murphy's report states that EcoHealth Alliance approached DARPA in 2018 seeking funding to conduct gain of function research of bat bourne coronaviruses. The proposal was named Project Defuse. DARPA rejected the proposal because the work was too dangerous and could violate the gain of function moratorium despite EcoHealth's position that it would not. According to the documents, the NIAID under the direction of Dr. Fauci did not reject the proposal. They went ahead with the research at Wuhan and several sites across the US."

The EcoHealth Alliance proposal was leaked by The Intercept, a news site that is ideologically the polar opposite of Project Veritas. According to their report, even though scientists were concerned about the potential dangers, Eco Alliance was given a grant of $3.1 million. The grant proposal acknowledged: "Fieldwork involves the highest risk of exposure to SARS or other CoVs, while working in caves with high bat density overhead and the potential for fecal dust to be inhaled."

Anthony "Literally the Science" Fauci has testified under oath that he knows nothing about any of this and that anyone who dares challenge him has no idea what they're talking about. It's been the source of our favorite Rand Paul smackdowns when the senator gets the unelected government bureaucrat in a hearing room. Something tells me Senator Paul is reviewing these documents with great interest today and is going to have something to say about them.
