American interest in Ukraine is winding down. Americans aren't buying the Joe Biden spin that Vladimir Putin is to blame for all our problems. Critics say it's only a matter of time before there is a new variant to scare people into compliance. Should that time come, Anthony Fauci stands at the ready. He misses the cameras.

The rub is that the horrific images coming out of Shanghai due to their 'rona restrictions might make it difficult for "the government guys" to re-restrict people in this country. Fauci tried to make sense of it on, you guessed it, cable news.

Yes, I see. Fauci, the man our president blindly listens to, laments that what China is doing could "never" happen here. Though, it's effective.

Fauci still thinks China got it right on the pandemic. This is the guy advising Joe Biden on the pandemic. Joe Biden who, again, will do whatever Fauci tells him to do.

And while I won't show the videos, China has been executing dogs and cats if they come from an infected home. All in the name of a public health crisis. Australia did similar, and Fauci has a checkered past when it comes to puppies himself.

We are over two years past fifteen days to flatten the curve, and some cities and colleges are going back to mask mandates. I hope Americans have learned their lesson. I hope the warnings--those coming out of Australia and Europe and now China--that show us what government will do if citizens let them, have been enough of a wake-up call. I hope Americans have grown tired of Fauci, even though cable news still gets off on him.

More importantly, I hope I don't have to find out that, no, we haven't learned our lesson. And the people have been ignoring the warnings as they put on their third mask.
