You might have heard about Amazon's plan to build a yuge headquarters in New York City. A move sure to create a whole buttload of jobs. Further proving they're against all things good, lefties kicked up a big fuss at the thought of an evil corporation incorporating in their vicinity. Championed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, socialist hero.

Their douchey efforts paid off. Amazon said "nuh-uh" to their plans and are taking their business elsewhere.

Amazon is ditching its plans to build a new headquarters in New York after facing backlash from members of the community.

"After much thought and deliberation, we've decided not to move forward with our plans to build a headquarters for Amazon in Long Island City, Queens," Jodi Seth, an Amazon spokeswoman, said in a statement.

In the statement, Amazon noted that "a number of state and local politicians have made it clear that they oppose our presence and will not work with us to build the type of relationships that are required to go forward with the project we and many others envisioned in Long Island City."

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez saw Amazon's move as a big win for lefties against big business.

Yeah, nothing says "progress" like chasing away all those tax dollars. Nothing says success like chasing away thousands of jobs.  "How dare those evil big businesses attempt to employ our peeps and stimulate our economy. The nerve of those guys!"

She sure is putting that economics degree to use, isn't she? The tax credit wasn't coming out of anyone's pocket. It was $3 billion shaved off Amazon's tax bill, which pales in comparison to what they'd be paying overall. The truth is these lefties just turned down a massive opportunity to make other people's money theirs.

As her rampant dumbassery continues, people are gonna quickly realize "AOC" isn't the intellectual heavyweight she makes herself out to be. She's just a know-nothing ninnymuggins who mistakes her confidence for competence.
