It’s one thing if you think we should have an open border but it’s astonishing that leftists will defend the rights of foreign nationals to commit crimes in this country. And it’s not surprising that AOC is having another one of her fits, as she cannot comprehend why we need laws to hold people accountable.

The Senate has passed a bill that would require authorities to detain migrants accused of violent and theft-related crimes. And anyone in Congress who has a problem with this should automatically be disqualified from serving office but we no longer live in a sane society.

What is she even talking about? “It is atrocious that people are lining their pockets with private prison profits in the name of a horrific strategy.” Like, what?!?

Although she acknowledges the murder of Laken Riley, she fails to mention that the crime should have never happened in the first place and would have likely been prevented had this law been in place. Jose Ibarra, the psycho convicted of murdering Riley, had a criminal record before the murder. This included theft, “acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17,” and other crimes.

Ibarra should have never been let out of prison but he was and that is something no one will ever be able to justifiably explain.

Just ask a leftist, should Ibarra have been let out before his murder? If they say no, then they should support this bill.

Fresh off President Donald Trump's inauguration, the Senate on Monday passed a bill that would require federal authorities to detain migrants accused of theft and violent crimes, the first measure he likely will sign into law and giving more weight to his plans to deport millions of migrants.

Passage of the Laken Riley Act - named after a Georgia nursing student whose murder by a Venezuelan man last year became a rallying cry for Trump's White House campaign - was a sign of how Congress has shifted sharply right on border security and immigration. Passage came just minutes before Trump signed the first of his executive orders.

The bill now heads back to the Republican-controlled House, which passed its version earlier this month and will need to approve changes made in the Senate. The Senate expanded the legislation to target immigrants who assault a police officer or are accused of crimes that kill or seriously injure someone.

This is a very reasonable bill, and it makes no sense why AOC was so upset about it. Additionally, her rant about the Jan. 6 “hostages” could not be more irrelevant, as she cries about things that have nothing to do with the bill.

Why is it necessary to grant special rights to criminal aliens, especially when those who suffer the most are the very people she pretends to represent? That’s a question she will never be able to answer, as she defends harboring foreign nationals convicted of the worst crimes.
