There was a time when owning a Tesla was the best way for progressives to signal their virtues and revel in the smell of their own flatulence. Then Tesla owner Elon Musk started popping red pills, and suddenly, leftists are all about inferior electric vehicles. One person looking to unload her Tesla is social media influencer Rep. AOC.

She tells Bloomberg she first purchased her luxury car in 2020 for $46,000. Rep. AOC also still owes an insane amount on the student loans she wants the government to pay off for her. Rep. AOC says at, the time, Tesla was the only vehicle that could make it from NYC to Washington, DC, on a single charge, sometimes half a charge. Amtrak was not an option.

And while she wants to switch, Rep. AOC made it clear it has nothing to do with Musk voting GOP now. “He’s a billionaire. I could care less what he thinks."

Rep. AOC and Musk had a dust-up on Twitter in April. The social media influencer was subtweeting him. Elon clapped back.

Elon can and does do much better than Rep. AOC. He was mocking the social media influencer, making a reference to the time when she said Republicans only criticize her because they know they can never date her. The difference is Musk is joking when he says it. Rep. AOC was serious when she said it.

Since this dust-up, Musk has said he'll be voting for the GOP in November, pointing to how ultra-radical his former compadres on the left have gotten.

Also, since their dust-up, Rep. AOC is so totally over her Tesla and wants a new luxury car. The average cost is $57,000. Rep. AOC still wants the government to pay off her student loans.
