Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was questioned for her decision to buy a Tesla rather than an EV from a company that employs union workers as labor strikes against automakers continue. And viewers were left even more confused as she spat out her word salad and tried to blame the vaccine.

The Democrat Socialist faced a similar backlash in 2021 when it emerged she had bought a $35,000 Model 3 from Elon Musk’s non-unionized company. She also never fulfilled her promise from last year when she said she would ‘love to switch’ to an EV from a unionized workforce

The former bartender appeared on CBS’ "Face the Nation" to discuss Biden’s plan to visit the Michigan autoworkers. After she complimented his "historic" move in support of the strike, host Margaret Brennan pointed out her very obvious hypocrisy.

"One of the things that’s happening in the auto industry, as you know, is this market shift and transition to electric vehicles. You were quoted in July saying you look forward to buying a union made electric vehicle, but you currently have a non-union made Tesla. UAQ already makes some electric vehicles. Why wasn’t that? Is it a problem with the quality? Is it a problem with the style? Is the market just not there?" Brennan asked.

"Er no," AOC responded. She added, "Our car was purchased during the pandemic when travel, before a vaccine had come out, so travel between New York and Washington, the safest way we had determined was an EV, but that was prior to some of the new models coming out on the market that had the range available, but we’re actually looking into trading in our car now. So, we’re looking into it, and hopefully we will soon."

Like a true progressive, she should have blamed it on racism. That might have been more convincing.

And how is an EV the saftest way to travel? What if you are escaping a natural disaster and your car runs out of charge? You can't carry electricity with you like you can gasoline.

Well, I guess you could use a generator that is run by gas to power it.

AOC is nothing more than a ‘do as I say not as I do’ Democrat.

But I don’t blame her for keeping her Tesla. They are believed to be much harder to steal than other cars and she needs that extra level of security protection if she is going to keep it parked in her district.
