This is why we like to post "good guy with a gun" stories (see Whoops! Man Breaks Into Home. Meets FAMILY Armed With Guns… and Thanks Second Amendment! CCW Holder Drops Gunman Robbing Family Dollar Store…). If leftists had their way, a woman shopping at Walmart with a baby might be dead right now. No, I'm not saying leftists want women with babies dead (unless it's at a Planned Parenthood). But if leftists had their druthers, they'd prefer every day people be without arms.

Instead, two good Samaritans pulled guns...

Police said a woman left the store and was putting her infant child in a car seat when two men she didn't know approached her and one struck her on the head.

Investigators said a man got out of his car to help the woman and was shot multiple times. They said another man saw what happened, got out of his car and shot one of the attackers dead.

The officers said the second man ran off. Police originally believed they captured the second suspect using a K-9 officer, however, that person was not connected with the incident. Police are working to identify the second suspect at this time.

The good Samaritan who was shot and the woman who was injured were both initially listed in critical condition. The woman has since been released from the hospital. Good Samaritan  #1 who was injured had surgery Sunday night. He is being identified only as a 33-year-old Kansas City, Missouri resident. A second good Samaritan, a 36-year-old DeSoto, Kansas man, was interviewed by police and released.

A woman, presumably a mother (unless she was babysitting, it could happen), was shopping when she was attacked. Had the second good Samaritan (the first got shot by the thug) not been there, that mother's family would be the ones in mourning. Leftists don't seem to get that.

Good Guys with Guns...

One never knows when one is going out shopping if one might be attacked. Even if one is with their child while shopping. A couple of things here: these would-be robbers, rapists or killers (we thankfully do not know what their original intent was) picked what they believed to be an easy target, a woman with her child. Criminals do not believe in fighting fair, they look for easy. What target will give them the least amount of fight. They didn't pick either man who later came to save the day. Nope, they picked a woman. With her kid. Okay? Okay.

Two men came to her rescue. The first was shot, the second was having none of it. Which means we had two gun-toters at this shootout.

Who won the fight? A good guy with a gun. Could it have gone a different direction? Yes. Will a good guy with a gun always win? No. In fact it came close to going the way of Uh Oh for good Samaritan numero uno, had numero dos not entered the fray to drop a baddie.

But bad guys with guns are more likely to fail if confronted with White Hats. This should be a giant "duh!" moment if ever there was one. Yet each time a case like this comes up, we have to repeat it. The Second Amendment is about so much more than hunting. It's about self-defense, self-preservation, protection from criminals and tyranny.

Also handy when shopping at Walmart. So much more so than a tote bag. Just saying.

But still, when it comes to the boom-boom sticks leftists don't seem to get much of anything when it comes to "common sense"...
