Everyone loves a good gun story where the bad guys get shot. Unless you're a wimpish, leftist ninny (see Chicago CCW Holder Shoots Armed Robber. SJW's Furious...). In which case consider this a trigger warning: the bad guys get stomped in this story. A man was walking his dog one night when two armed ruffians tried to rob him. They picked the wrong guy...

Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Tuesday night. The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Deonte Thomas. Police say their preliminary investigation reveals Thomas was attempting to commit a robbery and was shot by the 36-year-old Milwaukee man who was being robbed -- who was out walking his dog...

The man has a concealed carry permit.

Officials say Thomas' co-actor, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man, was also shot during the altercation. He has since been taken into custody. Investigators say the suspects may be responsible for an armed robbery that happened Tuesday evening.

Word to the stupid: robbery is a high risk venture where looting dunces have a higher chance of spontaneous cranium explosions. Often caused by a rapidly moving projectile, ejected from a metal device more commonly known as a "gun." Of which a legal American citizen has a right to own.

Interesting side note here? Everybody who spoke on the event made it a point to comment about how "peaceful and quiet" the neighborhood usually is - not exactly the place you'd expect a violent crime to occur. You know, like a Waffle House (see Gunman With AK-47 Robs 'Gun-Free Zone' Waffle House. Gets Dropped by CC Holder). Or a bar filled with man lisps. A school. It speaks to the fact that "safe," or even "gun free" environments aren't exempt from violent crimes. And the most effective way to stop a violent crime? A bullet to the noggin.

Interestingly, these are the types of stories that gun control advocates conveniently tend to ignore. Even more interesting, when they do acknowledge these stories? They tend to err on the side of the bad guy (see THANKS BLM: Severely Beaten Cop Didn't Use Gun on Attacker. For Fear of Backlash...). Remind me again which party it is that claims to care about people? Stripping people of their right to defend themselves sounds rather... Not-caring.
