Army Misses Recruitment Goal Again, Announces Sweeping Reforms... That Won't Fix The Problem
The United States Army announced that it would make “sweeping changes” to its recruiting enterprise after struggling to meet its goal of 452,000 active-duty soldiers.
The Army announced Tuesday that it plans to roll out several key recruiting reforms to attract more annual contracts. These recommendations resulted from a study of Army recruiting over the past 25 years.
“The competition for talented Americans is fierce, and it is fundamentally different than it was 50 or even 20 years ago,” Secretary Wormuth said. “Understanding that reality is key to designing new practices that will make us a more attractive and compelling career choice for young Americans.”
I wonder why the Army is having trouble recruiting members. It could not be because it has been consumed by a bunch of woke-infested garbage, could it?
And what do they expect when they fire a bunch of people over not getting the Fauchi Ouchie?
Only 43 of more than 8,000 discharged from the US military for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine have actually rejoined. About 17,000 service members ultimately refused to take the vaccine, according to reports.
But it is a ‘recruiting’ problem they say.
It also definitely cannot be that the military leaders’ embrace of woke diversity and transgender policies and ideology is corroding recruiting efforts. Could it?
The military is spending crucial time and money on woke projects as they undermine the readiness of our country's defense system.
Just take a look at the Army’s DEI mission: “Build and sustain Army readiness by developing and implementing a strategic plan to advance DEI across the Total Force and establish the Army as a global leader in DEI.”
DEI training essentially advances people on criteria other than competence and their ability to carry out a mission.
This is honestly very embarrassing.
The military is always lowering the physical fitness standards to meet recruitment numbers.
Before lowering its standards, about 44 percent of women failed the test from October 2020 to April 2021, compared to about 7 percent of men.
“I also have concerns obviously about the implications of the test for our ability to continue to retain women, which we obviously want to do,” Army Secretary Christine Wormuth said at her nomination hearing in May 2021.
But apparently, they are not a woke army.
Congressman Chip Roy recently mocked the military.
"The Marines tweeted a Pride Month image with rainbow tipped bullets on a marine helmet! I'm sure the Chinese military is quaking in its boots with the rainbow tipped bullets being tweeted around the world!” Roy said.
"We are a ready Army, not a 'woke' Army," Wormuth told reporters in June. "What I'm trying to talk about now is how that drip, drip, drip of criticism about a woke military is having some counterproductive effects on recruiting."
