Despite the best efforts from the left to stop it, the number of concealed carry permits are rising quickly in America. A lot. Like, a whooooole lot. It's also accelerated even more rapidly in recent years. Guess what’s dropping off as they rise?

You guessed it. The murder rate. According to the Washington Times,

the rate for murder fell from “5.6 to 4.2 per 100,000, about a 25 percent drop.” Violent crime fell “25 percent” as well.

Now we're not saying that correlation necessarily equals causation. However, this is what we call "statistically significant", kiddos.

So what exactly is the cause of the rapid rise in concealed carry permits? Well, the rise started back at about the time Obama was elected. Since 2007, the number of concealed handgun permits has increased from 4.6 million to 12.8 million.

So guns have never been more popular than under a liberal administration who seeks to limit them. Call it odd, call it ironic, just don't call it surprising. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

'Gun control' is a huuuge losing issue for leftists because they just don't get it. The more they try to control people's 2nd amendment rights, the more they're going to feel a need for them. That’s how guns work. That's why they exist.

Not only is there building, insurmountable evidence that guns do keep us safe and deter criminals, but most importantly, firearm ownership is a God-given right. Unlike two dudes marrying, the right to bear arms is expressly outlined in the constitution as one that shall not be infringed. Literally in plain writing. Anyone who says otherwise is literally violating your human right to self-preservation.

This all also begs the question: when we see that a rise in concealed carry permits doesn’t adversely affect the murder rate, when all evidence points toward the exact opposite being true and that crime significantly decreases around guns... why would the government want to stop that?
