There's been plenty of babbling about Islam going on lately. It has quite a few peoples feeling uneasy, what with all the rape and terrorism galore that tends to accompany Islamic refugees. Not counted among those concerned with Islam's splodey ways is the Australian Security Intelligence Organization (ASIO). In fact, they insist there's no connection between refugees and terrorism...

ASIO boss Duncan Lewis was quizzed on the issue by One Nation leader Pauline Hanson at a parliamentary committee on Thursday night. "I have absolutely no evidence to suggest there is a connection between refugees and terrorism," Mr Lewis said.

Asked whether refugee children were being radicalised in Australia, he said: "I see no evidence of it here".

Mr Lewis told Senator Hanson ASIO did not make its enquiries or assessments on the basis of anyone's religion. "We are not interested in religion - we are interested in whether an individual is exhibiting or expressing violence."

Lewis claims there's zero connection between refugees and terrorism. But regarding the issue of the link between refugees and terrorism, the evidence isn't hard to come by...

Lots of proof to be had, Duncan. You'd think ASIO would know, considering the measures Australia recently took in an attempt to prevent being terrorized itself (see Australia Toughens Citizenship Test to Ward Off Terrorism. Leftists Rage...). But it appears the more certain nations try to crack down with security measures, the more certain dunderheads of leftist persuasion fight back with cries of "ISLAMOPHOBIA!"

This sort of bureaucratic back and forth is why places like Germany are stuck in political limbo. They keep taking one step forward and a hundred steps back. Into a bomb-riddled mosque. Apparently, some Australians would like to follow suit.

Islam and terrorism go together like gay Pride parades and AIDs. Get over it, liberals.
