In Utah--yes, UTAH--there was an extravaganza to welcome an all-ages audience back to school. As part of this all-ages back-to-school extravaganza, they hired male dancer "Jenna Tailia." It's a sexual euphemism for "genitalia," which is otherwise known as the reproductive organs. Also, "all-ages" and "back-to-school" means children.

Traditionally, what organizers call "child-friendly" drag shows are held during the month of June. That's when we are ordered to celebrate Ls, Gs, Bs and especially the Ts, Qs, As, Is, other Is, Ps, and whatever the pluses are. But in the name of inclusion and tolerance, there are Americans who feel they are best signaling their virtue to invite grown men dressed as women to perform for children. Other Americans think it is inappropriate for someone who calls himself "Jenna Tailia" to welcome children back to school.

Though, in Jenna's defense, at least he didn't invite small children up to perform with him. That isn't always the case at other child-friendly drag shows that critics feel don't look very child-friendly.

You may find yourself asking, "But Brodigan, I thought Utah was the most conservative state in the country." You would think so! But over the past year, we have seen Republicans sell out to teachers' unions and almost sell out female athletes. So, no. It's not.
