Working in retail can be tough. It goes double for the food service industry. We've all been there. We get it. But this is no way to talk to a nice old lady, no matter how tough your shift at Starbucks is. A customer who is believed to be transgender was caught lashing out at a customer. Then -- she(?) -- turned around and attacked the person filming.

I say "believed" to be transgender because our viral video picks up after the two had already gotten into an argument. It is assumed that barista is trans because she is calling the nice old lady "transphobic." Also, because she looks like a dude.

It is unclear what set things off. All we know is that the nice old lady did not appreciate being called transphobic. And the barista wouldn't calm down about something, calling the nice old lady "Karen" and doing that annoying clapping thing. This is before turning and viciously assaulting a bystander that had their camera out and was doing it for the content.

Maybe it was an accidental misgendering. Hey, it happens. I was confused for a lesbian once. I had much longer hair and was kissing my girlfriend in a bar with my back to the door. Some woman walked in and yelled, "Holy sh*t, there are two chicks making out on a couch." I laughed. My girlfriend laughed. The woman laughed. It was the 90s. Not everyone had a giant pole shoved up whatever orifice they had that week.

Freaking out and getting violent is a 2023 thing. And more often than not, nice old people are the targets.

A reporter for GBNews reports that the barista has been sacked, and police are investigating the assault of the cameraman. Per Starbucks, "We do not tolerate that kind of behaviour. We are very sorry for the experience this customer had."

I just hope the barista finds what's missing in their life. Going through life that angry all the time is no way to live.
