Before we mock electric vehicles and the leftist push to signal your virtue by owning an electric vehicle, not all car owners asked for this. Now for the EVs. Remember, the way you are supposed to beat the unaffordable gas prices under Joe Biden is to go out and spend money on an electric vehicle. Instead of spending a lot on gas, you'll be spending slightly less on electricity. Though as Florida EV owners are finding out, your gas-powered engine doesn't catch fire when it gets soaked.

We consulted with science on the matter, and according to science here is what's happening. Salt water conducts electricity. Batteries saturated in salt water have this conducive material. It sparks. It catches fire. Next thing you know, the EV truck you bought with your tax credit (that jumped in price a thousand dollars more than the tax credit) is a fire hazard and can set adjacent buildings on fire too.

I'm sure there will be a government fix for this. Either the Hurricane Ian Relief Act is going to have massive government spending on EVs in lieu of providing relief to those affected by Hurricane Ian. Or, Democrats will stick with old reliable. They will draft the "Fight Crime Act" that won't find crime, sneak trillions into that bill, then claim Republicans don't want to fight crime when they vote against it. Democrats could go with "Inflation Reduction Act 2: Electric Boogaloo." But that might be too obvious.

As of this writing, there are no reports of gas-powered vehicles spontaneously combusting. Good, because Floridians have been through enough.
