Government Officials Issue Dire Warning To The Public: Please Do Not Eat Christmas Trees
Leftists often come up with novel and crazy ways to save the world from climate change. And while you probably thought hippies not showering was bad enough, this newest one gaining traction in Belgium is worse than you think.
Public health officials have asked the public to please stop eating Christmas trees after a woke city thought this would help save the world.
#VantageOnFirstpost: Still got your Christmas tree? In Belgium, the city of Ghent suggested recycling it—and even eating it! But not all trees are safe to eat. Belgium's food agency warned against it, citing pesticides and chemicals.@palkisu tells you more. pic.twitter.com/7EvnpJXh2x

According to The Guardian
The message on Tuesday came after the city of Ghent, an environmentalist stronghold in the country’s northern Flanders region, raised eyebrows by posting tips for recycling the conifers on the dinner table.
Pointing with enthusiasm to examples from Scandinavia, the town website suggested needles could be stripped, blanched and dried – for use in making flavoured butter, for instance.
LOL. Christmas tree-flavored butter does not even sound the least bit appetizing. And we can almost be certain the people recommending this foolish recipe did not recycle their trees in this way.
Asked what they thought of the idea, the reply from Belgium’s federal agency for food chain security, AFSCA, was a resounding “No.”
“Christmas trees are not destined to enter the food chain,” it said in a statement. “There is no way to ensure that eating Christmas trees is safe – either for people or animals,” it said, citing the likely presence of pesticides on most trees cultivated for the season.
The agency has also added that there is no way to know whether or not the tree has been treated with flame retardant, which could lead to “fatal consequences.”
So while some extreme leftists in Belgium believe tree-flavored butter will save the world, public health officials think otherwise. But hey, at least they can say they thought of everything they could to save humanity.
