Ben Carson Refuses To Apologize For 'Sharia and Constitution' Comment. Jake Tapper Freaks Out.
You can't see me, but I'm having a mini-celebration with party hats and streamers over Ben Carson's refusal to apologize and back down from his original "Sharia isn't compatible with the Constitution" statement. The resulting media conniption fit over the fact that he won't walk the statement back, he won't apologize, and he doesn't give two craps about how the statement has made "Muslims feel," is icing on the cake. For the record, yes this cake is Chocolate.
... It's a black joke. Get it? There'll be a lot of those in the coming months.
Well one such media hissy-fit-haver is Jake Tapper of CNN, who couldn't wrap his leftist brain around the idea that A) a presidential candidate would dare say something "controversial" about Islam not being compatible with the constitution (spoiler alert, it's not) and B) that a presidential candidate wouldn't apologize for hurting people's feelings! What what WHAAAAAT?!
He even ends the interview early.
Watch as Jake Tapper hammers, drills and grills Carson about the original Muslim statement, and marvel (and throw your own party) at Carson's steadfastness.
Doctor Carson in the HOUSE! YEA YEEEEEEEEAA!
If this presidential primary season had a theme, it would be this: political correctness needs to be shot. At dawn. Before breakfast.
And if you're wondering why Carson, Fiorina and Trump are at the top of the polls, it's for stuff like this. Say whatever you want about these three candidates, but you have to admit that all three stand their ground and take no prisoners. They're not relenting to the media's calls for apologies or PC rhetoric.
And I will say this, I'm glad to see that Carson can grow a pair when he needs to. I've always liked him personally, but found him a bit too meek to be fit for President. Flashes of his backbone here give me hope. Let's hope to see more of them. He's growing on me.
Celebrate good times, come on!
