The attacks on the consulate in Benghazi, Lybia happened September 11, 2012 and resulted in the death of four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, all under the watch of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Sort of. We still don't know where Barack Obama was during the attacks on the Lybian consulate. We're still bothered by that.

JUNE 2012 – SEPT. 2012

June: Chris Stevens is appointed U.S. ambassador to Libya

July 9:  Per the Senate Intelligence Committee, Stevens’ requests for 13 additional security agents from State Department headquarters goes unanswered.

Aug. 3: Per the Senate Intelligence Committee, the State Department fails to extend Stevens’ Defense Department-provided Site Security Team protective detail and lets the contract expire.

Aug. 16: Per the Senate Intelligence Committee, Stevens sends cable to the State Department raising additional security concerns. He relays information from a meeting with a CIA officer who described 10 Islamist militia and Al Qaeda training centers in Benghazi.

Sept. 5: Per the Senate Intelligence Committee: “AFRICOM produced a Theater Analysis Report entitled ‘Libya: Extremism in Libya Past, Present and Future.’ The report contains a map showing ‘how [REDACTED] are actively exploiting the open operating environment in Libya.’” More

August 2012-Sept. 11:  Senate Intelligence Committee investigation finds no evidence that significant actions were taken by the State Department between Aug. 15, 2012, and Sept. 11, 2012 to improve  Stevens’ security. More

Sept. 11: The U.S. annex and diplomatic mission in Benghazi are attacked. Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty all die.

Yes, we knew it was a terrorist attack and the US knew it was a terrorist attack. But Clinton and Obama blamed a YouTube video on the attacks. Incidentally, the maker of the video is still in prison (for something "unrelated" to the video. Uh huh). From The Daily Caller:

New documents obtained by Judicial Watch and made public Monday show that then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other senior officials under President Obama were given intelligence within hours of the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi attack describing how it had been planned at least 10 days in advance “to kill as many Americans as possible.”

A heavily redacted copy of a Sept. 12, 2012, Defense Intelligence Agency memo to Clinton, then Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, the White House National Security Council and the Joint Chiefs of Staff said “the attack was planned 10 or more days prior on approximately 01 September 2012. The intention was to attack the consulate and to kill as many Americans as possible to seek revenge for U.S. killing of Aboyahiye ((ALALIBY)) in Pakistan and in memorial of the 11 September 2001 atacks on the World Trade Center buildings.”

To be clear, it was always a terrorist attack. It was pre-meditated. It was never from a YouTube video no one saw and protests about it. Got it? The Obama administration lied to the American people.

Fast-forward a few years, and we have Hillary Clinton at hearing with the "What difference at this point does it make?" trying to sideline the issue of whether or not the attacks were terrorist attacks or spontaneous protests arising from the video Rice, Obama and Clinton blamed on the video.

In summary: Libya was poorly secured. Ambassador Stevens requested more security. None was provided to him. The consulate was attacked, Stevens and three other Americans died. Military support was not given to them. Barack Obama was missing during this time period. After the attacks, Hillary Clinton and the entire Obama administration, including Obama himself, blamed a YouTube video on the protests in Benghazi. But Benghazi was a pre-meditated attack.
