FLASHBACK: Bernie Sanders Praises Communist Breadlines and Food Rationing...
We've told you about how being a "socialist" is more than just a gimmick for Bernie Sanders (see Watch Bernie Sanders Openly Praising Fidel Castro. Trashing Freedom… and Denmark to Bernie Sanders: ‘Shut Up, We’re Not Socialists!’). But this video that just came out of him celebrating rationing food and people waiting on long lines just to buy bread? Wow...
Important highlight here:
"It’s funny, sometimes American journalists talk about how bad a country is, that people are lining up for food. That is a good thing! In other countries people don’t line up for food: the rich get the food and the poor starve to death."
The Libertarian Republic noted:
Vermont’s Democratic socialist presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has sought to separate his views from those of tyrannical socialist regimes throughout history. The problem is that back in the 1980’s Sanders was outspoken in his support of communist dictator Fidel Castro as well as the Soviet-aligned Sandinista government in Nicaragua. In fact, recently discovered video shows Sanders praising food lines as a good thing. Sanders asserts that countries where people don’t line up for food that the poor are starving to death because “the rich get all the food.”
Pause your mind for a moment. Allow this to absorb for a second. Now let me repeat. Bernie Sanders, when discussing communist breadlines, said...
"...American journalists talk about how bad a country is, that people are lining up for food. That is a good thing!"
Bernie Sanders 2016: You'll wait in line for bread and you'll like it!
Here's the thing. Those of you too lazy to click the actual video will assume that this is a satire story. That it's so outlandish, that it's so absurd to even consider, that it couldn't possibly be real. I assure you, it is real.
I've talked about this at great length, but to those who don't understand, "Democratic" Socialism (as Bernie likes to paint it), is merely communism with a checkbox. Putting "Democratic" in front of it doesn't change it's morally repugnant core. Go ahead and try it with anything else. "Democratic" slavery sound nice? "Democratic" mandatory abortions? How about "Democratic" food rationing? Aaaah getting closer to home now, right? Does it sound outlandish?
So does a candidate for President of the United States praising communist bread-lines.
My point is that all of those notions listed above, all of them can be issues handed to the voters. So long as "the people" vote on something, you can label it "democratic." That doesn't stop people from "democratically voting" to violate someone else's rights. It happens all the time, and it's the reason for the United States Constitution. Our founding documents exist to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority.
Right here we see Bernie Sanders openly praising communist breadlines and food rationing. He's openly pointing to communist nations as examples to follow. The only difference is that before Bernie wants to hand the centralized power of food distribution to government, he wants the people to "vote on it". Once that power has been given over to the government, it's seldom ever given back.
