Crime and shoplifting are on the rise. We've all seen the videos. In many places, lax progressive policies have made stealing essentially legal-ish. More often than not, employees and security guards--whose job it is to stop stealing--stand around doing nothing. However, we're starting to see some store employees fight back. This female employee falls into the second group and gave a valiant effort as she saw a nogoodnik running towards the door with stolen goods.

As she lay on the floor, she realized why so few people even bother.

It draws comparisons to this other Best Buy incident, where employees were more coordinated. And where the store manager runs his employees through two-a-days.

I'll give the girl credit. She showed no fear and no hesitation. She's minding her own business facing out the ear pods. From the corner of her eyes, she sees someone running toward the door being chased by two of her coworkers. She didn't think twice. She dropped what she was doing and lunged at the miscreant making a break for it. She may not be able to stop him, but at the very least, she can slow him down and give the other guys a chance to catch up. Unfortunately, she ate floor for her troubles.

This is why the other Best Buy manager runs his geek squad through two-a-days. You never hit high. It gives the shoplifter too easy a chance to throw a block of their own and push you to the side. Had she gone waist level... she probably still would have gotten plowed. But there'd be more of a chance of slowing him down or possibly even causing the thief to trip and lose his footing.

She gets a C for the tackle. But an A+ for the attempt.
